More Than A Place. It’s A Story Waiting To Be Told.

Beneath the twisted oaks and along the dusty backroads of the Texas Hill Country, the past never really fades. It lingers—etched in limestone, whispered through old fence lines, and passed down around firelight.

Texas Hill Country Chronicles is a podcast that unearths those stories.

Narrated by host Boone Callahan—a former park ranger with a weathered voice and a head full of ghost stories—each episode takes you on an immersive journey through the legends, lost towns, and lesser-known corners of this rugged Texas region. Whether it’s a haunted spring, an outlaw hideout, or a tale too strange to be true, Boone’s voice brings the Hill Country to life—one story at a time.

Boone Callahan – Host of Texas Hill Country Chronicles Podcast

"Every rock in the Hill Country's got a story under it. I just dig 'em up."

Boone Callahan is the weathered voice of the Texas Hill Country—part storyteller, part amateur historian, and part ghost tracker. Raised on a working ranch outside Llano, Boone spent his early years helping his grandfather mend fences by day and listening to tall tales by the campfire at night. He speaks with the slow drawl of someone who doesn't need to rush to make his point—and often ends his stories with more questions than answers.

Before stepping behind the mic, Boone worked as a park ranger, a part-time newspaper columnist, and a guide for backroad ghost tours. He’s seen things in the hills most folks wouldn’t believe—and he’s not entirely sure he believes them either.

Now, with a microphone in hand and a head full of dusty legends, Boone brings listeners deep into the forgotten corners of Texas. Whether it's tracking down an outlaw’s lost treasure, uncovering a ghost town's secrets, or peeling back the layers of a local legend, Boone Callahan tells it like only someone who’s walked the land can.
