A Hidden Gem in the Texas Hill Country

A Taste of Tradition and Terroir

Sister Creek Vineyards is renowned for its commitment to traditional winemaking techniques, employing Bordeaux and Burgundy methods to craft their Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot wines. These wines are aged in 60-gallon oak barrels for up to three years, allowing for a depth of flavor that reflects the unique terroir of the region. Minimal filtration methods are used to retain the fullest flavors, resulting in wines that are both robust and nuanced.

One of the standout offerings is their Italian-style Muscat Canelli, a semi-sweet, slightly effervescent wine that has garnered a dedicated following. Visitors often praise its delightful taste, with one reviewer noting, "Their Muscat Canelli, both the versions are scrumptious. It isn't very often I find a wine that I like at a tasting and when I bring it home it tastes just as good, but this one checks off all the boxes for me".

A Historic Setting with Rustic Charm

The winery's tasting room is housed in a beautifully restored 1885 cotton gin, preserving much of the original equipment and architecture. This unique setting offers visitors a glimpse into the past, blending the rich history of Sisterdale with the art of winemaking. Guests can embark on a self-guided tour of the mill and storage area, enhancing their appreciation for the winery's heritage.

The rustic ambiance extends to the tasting experience, where the warm and knowledgeable staff guide visitors through a selection of wines. As one reviewer shared, "Love the history around this winery. Staff at Sister Creek is knowledgeable and very friendly. They have some great wines. This is a winery you do not want to miss".

A Destination for Wine Lovers

Sister Creek Vineyards has become a beloved destination for both locals and tourists exploring the Texas Hill Country. Its reputation for quality wines and inviting atmosphere has earned it a spot among the top wineries in the region. Visitors often find themselves returning, drawn by the exceptional wines and the charm of the historic setting.

The winery offers daily tastings, with options to sample four or eight wines, allowing guests to explore the range of flavors crafted on-site. The tasting experience is both educational and enjoyable, providing insights into the winemaking process and the unique characteristics of each varietal.

Still the most charming, intimate winery in the Hill Country, with consistently excellent red, white, sweet, and semi-sweet award-winning wines. They've expanded their wine selections, added seating inside and out, and retain the historic character of the old cotton gin. Wine club managers Connie & Leticia are always welcoming and make our pickups and tastings fun. Owner Jessica is tweaking everything to perfection while still allowing winemaker Danny Hernandez to craft wines in the quality and classic European style that has won multiple awards over the years. Sister Creek is a "must visit" winery that's a real diamond among the jewel settings of Texas wineries.Still the most charming, intimate winery in the Hill Country, with consistently excellent red, white, sweet, and semi-sweet award-winning wines...

I'm visiting from North Carolina and my friends took me to several wineries in Fredericksburg. On our way back to San Antonia, they said we definitely have to stop here!!! I'm so glad we did!!! This place is beautiful and it has a lot of history! I loved the atmosphere inside the tasting room and outside!!! I really wished we could have stayed longer!!! I decide to do tasting. I really enjoyed the Chardonnay, Merlot, Muscat Canelli and the Muscat Canelli Reserve. Yes, I like sweet and dry wines!! Doug and Mark were absolutely a delight!! They made this experience absolutely wonderful!!! We really enjoyed talking to them. I will never forget them!!! I had an awesome time there. I was also excited to get bubble pouches for my wines as I'm flying back to NC. Looking forward to visiting Texas and Sister Creek Vineyards again!!!!I'm visiting from North Carolina and my friends took me to several wineries in Fredericksburg. On our way back...
